Trapping and manipulation of airbirne particles with structured light

 Structured light involves, among others, optical vortices and singular vector beams. In this talk. I will discuss application of such beams in optical trapping. I will review our  experimental results on photophoretic trapping and manipulation of airborne, light absorbing microparticles. In particular, I will demonstrate tractor beam transporting particles over large distance, optical bottle to store microparticles,  and application of tractor beam to control electric discharge.
