Despite a number of papers on small Martian cones has been published, the mechanism of their formation is not properly explained. We consider hydrothermal aspects of this process. This process might be influenced by magmatic heating. Some of the cones may be rootless cones. We found also that heat advection and gas and steam flow between the shallow aquifer and the possible deep aquifer could be an important heat source. Our study can be helpful for stratigraphic investigation of Mars.
