ACTRIS-PL IB was created in order to provide high-quality data on the so-called short-lived components of the atmosphere, both from natural and anthropogenic sources. ACTRIS-PL IB is a response to real existing demand, as the processes occurring in the atmosphere play a key role in shaping social and environmental risks. The most important of these include air quality, population health, climate change and ecosystem productivity. At the same time, they represent challenges that need to be addressed in implementing the principles of the European Green Deal.
