The main goal of the POLIMOS Field Experiment (European Space Agency) at the PolWET site in Rzecin was focused on performing a unique set of passive and active remote sensing observations and dedicated in-situ measurements that allowed for the assessment of the peatland ecosystem productivity and its dependence on the presence of clouds and aerosols in the atmosphere. The main goal of the study was the estimation of the scattered light impact on peatland heat and mass exchange.
The experiment was carried out in April-September 2018. The project leader was Iwona Stachlewska, the task leader was Patryk Poczta and the participants were Dongxiang Wang, Krzysztof Markowicz, Michał Chiliński and Pablo Ortiz Amezcua.
