A field campaign to conduct smog measurements as part of the POLIMOS activity, funded by the European Space Agency (ESA-ESTEC), takes place in Wrocław from 31 January to 20 February 2022. As part of the campaign, the mobile lidar EMORAL has been installed at the research station of the Department of Climatology and Atmospheric Protection of the University of Wrocław (ZKiOA UWr) in Wrocław-Biskupin (https://www.meteo.uni.wroc.pl). The work of the ZkiOA team is coordinated by Anetta Drzeniecka-Osiadacz, while team members Tymoteusz Sawiński, Maciej Górka and Agnieszka Stojanowska are responsible for measurements of air quality and meteorological parameters. Also planned are drone measurements carried out by Marek Kowalczyk and Magdalena Korzystka-Muskala.

Lidar measurements are carried out as part of the research of the RS-Lab team led by Iwona Stachlewska from the Institute of Geophysics, Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. The campaign coordinator on the part of the UW is Artur Tomczak, and Iwona Stachlewska, Łucja Janicka, Rafał Fortuna, Dominika Szcepanik participate in the campaign. Online support in the transfer of lidar data is provided by Patryk Poczta from PULS. Lidar measurements provide data on the vertical distribution of aerosols and clouds. They are carried out in quasi-continuous mode by trained EMORAL lidar operators from RS-Lab. The cooperation with ZKiOA allows to monitor meteorological conditions and air quality in parallel. Current measurement data from the station are available at https://www.meteo.uni.wroc.pl/pogoda-on-line
