We seek a candidate for university professor position to join the Institute of Geophysics, Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw.

We expect that the candidate will document his competencies in the area of nanooptics/plasmonicss/metamaterials and propose an innovative research program coherent with profiles of at least one of research groups at the Information Optics Departament. Duties of the successful candidate will include 210 hours (per academic year) of teaching at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw.

Scientific, teaching and organizational activities of the employee will be a subject of regular periodic evaluation.

This is a tenure position.

The contract shall begin on Feb 1st 2025 or Oct 1st 2025.

Necessary requirements are:

1. habilitation in science (or equivalent proven scientific record after the PhD. degree),
2. documented, by participation in projects, experience in science,
3. documented, by succesfull applications, practice in receiving financing for research;
4. documented teaching experience, including supercision and promotion of at least one PhD candidate
5. international experience (documented internship abroad, visible activity on an international scale).

In addition, we expect:

1. documented record of scientific publications and achievements valuable for one of the research groups at the Information Optics Department Institute of Geophysics,
2. research plans accounting for research group agenda.
