International online conference "Solve Climate by 2030" Center for Environmental Policy at Bard College
Starting April 6, 2021, the Centre for Environmental Policy at Bard College is organizing "Solve Climate by 2030" global dialogue webinars, one in 50 different countries simultaneously, and in every US state. The aim is to focus the world on regional-level and local solutions to climate change. One will be able to hear from climate solutions experts i.a. in Hungary, South Africa, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as Florida, New Mexico and Minnesota - 100 sites worldwide - about ambitious but feasible actions that could happen soon in their state to spur a just, Green Recovery, get the world on track to solving climate issues by 2030. Colleges and universities and local faith, civic and business groups will host viewings of the webinars and in-person discussions of how to get involved in climate solutions.
As part of the Polish edition of "Solve Climate by 2030", organized by the University of Warsaw, a webinar entitled "Climate Solutions for Poland" will be held. The event will take place on the 15th of April at 4 p.m. on the Zoom platform.
Panellists:
- prof. dr hab. Szymon Malinowski from the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, will talk about anthropogenic climate changes,
- Agnieszka Ragin, head of the National Centre for Climate Change, who will introduce the specificity of the Polish road to climate neutrality,
- Weronika Gajda from the Youth Climate Council, who will present ideas about what each of us can do for the climate.
