Warsaw city center air quality profiling project
Our measurement campaign is underway as part of the air quality profiling project in the Warsaw city centre, coordinated by dr Michał Chiliński from the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw and dr hab. Krzysztof Markowicz from the Atmospheric Physics Department, Institute of Geophysics FUW.
Thanks to the courtesy of the City Board and the Board of the Palace of Culture and Science (PKiN), five air quality stations have been installed on different floors of the PKiN. This allows continuous monitoring of changes in the pollution profile along with altitude, in the very centre of the city. The highest installed station determining the degree of air pollution is located just below the clock on the palace tower, on the 40th floor, at an altitude of 152 meters.
The project includes meteorological measurements.
