ATMO-ACCESS TNA - 3rd call for access
Upcoming ATMO-ACCESS TNA 3rd call: 10 Oct 2022 - 5 Jan 2023
The 3rd call offers access to the most advanced atmospheric research facilities in Europe. In this call, all ATMO-ACCESS facilities will be eligible, the call topic will be open and access modalities will be unrestricted.
Young scientists wanting to test out new theories or ideas, scientists working with local authorities on tricky air pollution problems, and companies/private sector users developing instruments that need testing can't miss the opportunity to apply. Whilst there is no requirement for the user or the service provider to be partners in Green Deal-funded projects, alignment with relevant projects such as RI-URBANS or ICOS Cities would be welcome. Users only need to demonstrate how using the ATMO-ACCESS ground-based observation stations, atmospheric simulation chambers, mobile facilities, or central atmospheric science laboratories will enhance ongoing research, development, or innovation activities regarding the Green Deal.
Eligible proposals are selected by an independent selection panel considering scientific excellence, technical merit, innovation and market-driven aspects.
TNA is provided free of charge to the selected users in person (physical access), remotely (remote access) or both, and includes the logistical, technological and scientific support and the specific training that is needed to use the services provided by the facility.
ATMO-ACCESS promotes gender equality in scientific research and specifically encourages applications from women.

The Warsaw Observatory Station (WOS)
The Warsaw Observatory Station (WOS), which belongs to the ACTRIS Observational Platforms block, provides TNA in two types:
- Physical Access - coordinated by mgr Łucja Janicka
- Remote Access - coordinated by dr Dominika Szczepanik
https://www.atmo-access.eu/access-to-services/
The Warsaw Observatory Station (WOS) located in the urban agglomeration of Warsaw (lowlands of East-Central Europe) is a research facility of the Faculty of Physics at the Research University of Warsaw. This observational site, established in 2013, proved to be very active within the ACTRIS. It is composed of main laboratories:
with collocated ground-based and elevated (25m) platforms and electronic workshop, optical clean room, seminar and social rooms where users can deploy their own instruments. It is equipped with sensors providing information on aerosol optical properties and water vapour that permit measurements within the free troposphere and in the boundary layer over Warsaw.
