The theoretical part includes an introduction to the field of vision and its testing methods – both automated and manual. Different strategies for perimetric testing and their types are presented. This paper provides an overview of the first methods and devices used to test the field of vision, as well as the most modern technologies currently used in clinical practice and those still in the testing phase. Selected pathologies causing a decrease or complete loss of retinal sensitivity are also discussed.
In the second part of the paper, based on my research, there was analysed the relationship between the result of the kinetic perimetry test and the form of used correction – in this case, a contact lens and a trial lens. The result obtained between the methods and the influence of the used correction on the overall test result was compared.
