A light frame is a new prototype device designed by the Cloud dynamics and atmospheric turbulence group at IGF-UW to visualize cloud droplets. It uniformly illuminates a cloud volume of 500x500x2 mm3 and consequently allows quantitative multi-scale measurements of droplet clustering and small scale turbulence (from below Kolmogorov scale to Taylor microscale). The cloud droplet images are captured by an Optronics CP80-25-M-72 CoaxPress Camera.
